Central Government employees will get risk allowance up to Rs 25,000

7th pay commission latest news, 7th CPC Latest News: The Central 7th CPC Commission has recommended a special allowance for the employees of the central government who fall under the category of government risk.

Now, the Center has issued a notification under the 7th CPC to find out the number of employees eligible for risk and hardship allowances. The government has asked for a list of qualified employees by 20 August.

Depending on the time of service of the department and the employee, the government will also pay an amount of up to Rs 25,000 per month as a risk allowance under the 7th CPC.

For this, the government has reportedly decided to classify central government employees into three categories – high, medium and low. According to the report of the Central Government Allowance Committee, an employee below level 8 will get a risk allowance of Rs 4,100 per month. For employees above level 9, it will be Rs 25,000.

The risk allowance under the 7th CPC was also increased for CRPF personnel during the Pulwama terrorist attack earlier this year, claiming the lives of 40 paramilitary personnel. Officers of various ranks will be eligible for allowances ranging from Rs 17,300 to Rs 25,000.

Indian Railways has increased the risk and hardship allowance for the repair of Mate, Keyman and Petrol Man last year in 7th CPC. The Railway Board had increased the allowance for Met and Keyman from Rs 6,000 to Rs 6,000, while for trackmen involved in patrol duty it was increased from Rs 2,700 to Rs 4,100.

Earlier, The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) approved the proposal to give the benefit of the recommendations of the 7th CPC to the teachers of government and funded technical educational institutions. The Ministry has sanctioned Rs 1241 crore for this purpose.

Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar (Prakash Javadekar) said, ‘This will directly benefit a total of 29,264 teachers and other academic personnel of the state government-funded institutions.

Apart from this, about three and a half lakh teachers and academic personnel of private colleges or institutes under the purview of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will also benefit from this approval.
